Review guidelines

Last updated October 27, 2026

ChakriKemon exists for one reason: so people can find out what it is really like to work somewhere before they join. That information is only useful when it is honest, specific and fair. These guidelines protect all three parties — reviewers, readers and employers.

1.Who can write

You can review, and report pay for, only an employer you work or have worked for — full time, part time, on contract or as an intern. You can share an interview experience only where you were interviewed yourself.

For schools, colleges, madrasas, coaching centres and universities, this site rates them only as workplaces — for teachers and staff. Reviews from students or parents are not accepted here.

One account may post one review and one interview experience per employer, and one salary report per job title.

2.What to write

  • Your own experience, framed as opinion. For example: "In my experience, salary often arrived after the 15th."
  • Specifics. Instead of "bad environment", say which part is bad, and why.
  • Both good and bad sides. Almost every workplace has both, and readers trust balanced reviews more.
  • About the employer's policies, management and working conditions — not about individuals.
  • In Bengali or English. Reviews are published in the language they were written in; we do not translate.

3.What not to write

  • Any person's name, nickname, initials, or a description that identifies them. Use a job title instead, such as "head of department" or "the HR department".
  • Phone numbers, email addresses, website links or social media handles.
  • Abuse, threats, obscenity, or hateful remarks about religion, gender, ethnicity, disability or any other identity.
  • Accusing anyone of a specific crime (theft, fraud, harassment) that you cannot prove. Take such allegations to the proper authority or a court.
  • Confidential information: client lists, internal documents, financial figures, passwords or recruitment exam papers.
  • Reviews praising your own employer, fake reviews against a competitor, or reviews written for money or any benefit.
  • Text copied from elsewhere, advertising or off-topic content.
  • Details that would reveal your own identity — such as an incident everyone knows happened only to you.

4.Salary reports

Enter gross monthly pay in taka (before tax and other deductions), plus any yearly bonus. No individual salary is ever shown. A median and range appear only once at least three people have reported the same job title at the same employer, so no one can be singled out.

Unusually high or low figures are checked separately by a moderator and may be rejected.

5.Interview experiences

Describe the process, the number of rounds, the kinds of questions and the outcome. Do not reproduce exam papers word for word, and do not name anyone on the interview panel.

6.How moderation works

On submission, an automatic check looks for personal names, honorifics and contact details, and refuses the text if it finds them. The check is strict on purpose: acceptable text is sometimes blocked, in which case reword it slightly and submit again.

A moderator then reads every submission and either publishes or rejects it, usually within 72 hours. Moderators do not edit text — it is published as written, or not at all.

Moderators cannot see a reviewer's email or identity.

7.Reports and removal requests

Every published review has a "Report" button. A report alone never takes a review down — it is removed only if a moderator finds that it breaks these guidelines. Otherwise anyone could silence a review they disliked.

Employers send removal requests through the contact page. Include the link to the review and which rule you believe it breaks. We acknowledge within 72 hours and usually decide within 7 days.

No review is removed merely for being negative. A removed review is hidden from the public but kept by us as a record for resolving disputes.

8.Employers' right of reply

Every employer may respond to any review. A representative asks for access through the contact page, choosing the topic "Employer: reply to reviews" and giving their name, job title and work email. Once verified, their account is approved as a representative and they can reply directly from the employer dashboard.

Replies follow the same guidelines — no personal names, no contact details, no attempt to identify the reviewer — and are moderated before they appear under the review. Representatives cannot see who wrote a review.

9.Money changes nothing

No employer can remove, hide, reorder or change the rating of a review in exchange for money, advertising or any other benefit. This will not change even if employers pay for any service in future.

10.Verified employees

Reviewers who verify with a code sent to their employer's official email domain get a "Verified employee" badge. Verification is optional; unverified reviews are published under the same rules. The work address is deleted after verification — see the privacy policy for details.

11.If the rules are broken

Content that breaks these guidelines is not published, or is removed after publication. Repeated or serious breaches — such as fake reviews or using several accounts to sway ratings — can lead to the account being closed permanently and all its content removed.
