ChakriKemon

Privacy policy

Last updated October 27, 2026

ChakriKemon rests on one promise: reviewers will not be identified. So we keep as little information as we can, and this page explains openly why we keep what we do.

1.Who we are

This policy applies to the chakrikemon.com website ("ChakriKemon", "we"). ChakriKemon is responsible for your information. Contact: [email protected], or the site's contact page.

2.What we collect

Account information:

  • Email address — to send sign-in codes. It is never published.
  • Optional display name and profile picture — visible only to you, never shown with a review.

Content you submit:

  • Reviews, ratings, answers to the yes/no workplace questions, salary reports and interview experiences, with the job title and employment type you give.
  • Reports you make about a review.
  • Messages sent through the contact form, with your email and optional name and organisation.

Technical information:

  • When you submit a review, salary, interview or message, a salted one-way hash of your IP address. The real IP address cannot be recovered from it; it only shows whether many submissions come from the same network, so fake reviews can be caught.
  • The date and time of each submission.
  • Our server and security provider (Cloudflare) may keep technical logs for a short time for security and abuse prevention, containing IP addresses and browser details. These logs are not linked to reviews.

3.Work-email verification

To verify, a code is sent to your work email. As soon as verification succeeds, the work address is deleted. We keep only a one-way hash of it, so the same mailbox cannot verify a second account. The hash cannot be turned back into the address. Expired, unused codes are deleted too.

4.What we do not collect

  • Passwords, phone numbers, national ID or date of birth.
  • Your location. Profile pictures are re-saved at 256×256, which removes all metadata including camera location (GPS) and device details.
  • Anything for advertising or tracking. The site has no third-party analytics, advertising or social media trackers. Employer logos and fonts are served from our own server too, so no other site learns what you are looking at.

5.Why we use information

  • To sign you in and keep your account working.
  • To moderate and publish your content, and to produce average ratings and pay statistics.
  • To detect and prevent fake reviews, multiple accounts and abuse.
  • To answer messages and requests you send.
  • To be able to show evidence if a review is disputed or a legal claim arises — for example when, and from which account, it was submitted.

Your email is used only for sign-in codes and replies to your own requests. We never send marketing email.

6.Who can see what

  • Readers: the text, rating, job title, current or former status and any "Verified employee" badge of published reviews. Not names, emails or pictures.
  • Employers: the same as any reader. No employer is ever told who wrote a review.
  • Moderators: submitted content and the number of submissions from the same network. Not the reviewer's email.
  • The site operator: technically all data in the database, used only to run the site, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations.

We do not sell, rent or trade any information.

7.Service providers and data outside Bangladesh

We rely on a few providers to run the site. Each receives only what its job needs:

  • Contabo — servers in Europe where the site and database run.
  • Cloudflare — domain, security and fast delivery; all traffic to the site passes through it.
  • Resend — delivers sign-in and verification codes by email; receives your email address and the code.
  • Email sent directly to our addresses (such as [email protected]) is forwarded by Cloudflare to our Google mailbox.

Your information is therefore stored and processed outside Bangladesh. By using the site you consent to this.

8.Legal requests

We disclose information about a reviewer only under a valid order of a competent court or where applicable law requires it, and only as much as the order asks for — never because an employer asks, writes or applies pressure. Where the law allows, we try to tell the user concerned before disclosing.

Note: we do not keep real IP addresses, so we have none to hand over. What we hold is the account email and submission times.

9.How long we keep information

  • Sign-in codes: stop working after 10 minutes.
  • Sign-in sessions: 30 days, or until you sign out.
  • Work email address: deleted as soon as verification succeeds; only the hash remains.
  • Account information: for as long as the account exists.
  • Published reviews and data: for as long as the site runs.
  • Removed or rejected reviews: hidden from the public, but kept as a record for resolving disputes and legal claims.
  • Contact messages: for as long as needed to handle the request and keep a record.

10.Your rights

At any time, through the contact page, you can ask for:

  • a copy of the information we hold about you;
  • correction of inaccurate information;
  • removal of any of your reviews or other content;
  • deletion of your account.

To confirm it is you, send the request from your account's email address. We reply within 30 days. You can change or remove your name and picture yourself on your profile page.

11.When you delete your account

Your email, display name, profile picture and all sign-in sessions are deleted. Your published reviews and salary reports may remain in anonymous form with no link to you, because they form part of aggregate information relied on by others. If you want those removed too, say so in your request.

12.Cookies and browser storage

  • One cookie (cr_session), which keeps you signed in. It is sent only over HTTPS and cannot be read by scripts on the page.
  • If you choose dark mode, that preference is kept in your own browser (localStorage) and never sent to us.

There are no advertising, tracking or third-party cookies.

13.Security

  • All traffic to the site is encrypted with HTTPS.
  • The database cannot be reached directly from the internet.
  • Sign-in codes are stored only as hashes; wrong guesses and codes sent per hour are limited.
  • Sessions are stored in the database, so closing an account takes effect immediately.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach occurs, we will act quickly and inform affected users.

14.Children

You must be at least 18 to open an account. If we learn that information from someone under 18 has been submitted, we delete it.

15.Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time; the date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page. Significant changes in how we use information will be announced on the site. We will never quietly weaken a promise already made — such as never telling an employer who wrote a review.

16.Contact

For any privacy question or request, use the contact page or write to [email protected].
