Terms of use

ChakriKemon is an online platform where users publish reviews, ratings, salary information and interview experiences about working at organisations in Bangladesh.

Reviews, ratings, salaries and interview reports on the site are provided by users. They are those users' personal opinions and experiences — not statements, recommendations or guarantees by ChakriKemon. We are not a recruitment agency, we do not offer jobs, and we act neither for nor against any employer.

Basic identifying information about employers — name, sector, city, website and logo — is taken from public sources, solely to identify the employer.

You must be at least 18 years old to open an account or submit anything. Published content can be read without an account.

• An account needs a working email address. A one-time code is sent to it to sign in; there is no password.
• Never share your sign-in code. You are responsible for everything submitted from your account.
• One person may not open more than one account.
• Tell us immediately if you notice unauthorised use of your account.

You are fully responsible for what you submit — reviews, ratings, salaries, interview experiences, reports or messages. By submitting, you confirm that:

• it is your own genuine experience and honest opinion;
• you work or have worked at the organisation concerned, or were interviewed there;
• it contains no individual's name or identity, discloses no confidential information and infringes nobody's legal rights;
• it was not written for money or any other benefit, and you have no conflict of interest with the employer;
• it follows the review guidelines.

You keep ownership of your content. By submitting it you grant ChakriKemon a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual and irrevocable licence to store, publish, display and distribute it, and to use it to produce statistics such as average ratings or median pay.

Published reviews may remain on the site in anonymous form after your account is deleted, because they form part of aggregate information relied on by others. We do not edit or translate content.

• Writing fake reviews, having others write them, or writing or commissioning reviews for money or any benefit.
• Using several accounts to influence ratings.
• Trying to identify a reviewer, or targeting them for harassment or retaliation.
• Collecting data from the site by automated means (scrapers, bots).
• Trying to breach the site's security, overload it or disrupt its normal operation.
• Impersonating anyone, or falsely claiming to represent an employer.
• Using the site for any purpose that breaks applicable law.

Every submission is moderated before publication. Whether content is published or stays published is our decision; we reserve the right not to publish, or to remove, content that breaks the guidelines or these terms. We are not obliged to give reasons for not publishing content.

No content is removed merely for being negative, or because of money or pressure from any party.

An employer that believes a review is false, identifies an individual, discloses confidential information or otherwise breaks the guidelines can send a request through the contact page, choosing the topic "Request to remove a review". The request must include:

• the complainant's name, job title and organisation;
• the link to the review concerned;
• which part is objected to and why, as specifically as possible;
• supporting evidence where relevant.

We acknowledge within 72 hours and usually decide within 7 days. Employers may also respond to any review; responses are moderated under the same rules before publication. No employer can pay to remove, hide or reorder reviews.

The site's design, logo, the names "চাকরি কেমন" and "ChakriKemon", its text and source code belong to ChakriKemon. They may not be used commercially without permission.

Employers' names and logos belong to those employers. The site uses them only to identify the employer; this implies no partnership, approval or endorsement. If an employer wants its logo removed, it can tell us through the contact page and we will remove it.

The site and all its information are provided "as is". We do not guarantee that any review, rating, salary or other information is true, complete or up to date. Check for yourself before taking or leaving a job, or making any other decision.

We also do not guarantee that the site will always run without interruption or errors.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, ChakriKemon is not liable for any direct or indirect loss arising from decisions made in reliance on information on the site, or from content written by users. Responsibility for user content rests with the user who wrote it.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you will bear the liability and reasonable costs of any claim, action or loss against ChakriKemon arising from content you submitted or from your breach of these terms.

You can ask for your account to be deleted at any time through the contact page. If you break these terms or the guidelines, we may suspend or close your account without prior notice.

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the site. These terms may be updated from time to time; the date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page. Significant changes will be announced on the site. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by and interpreted under the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. If a dispute arises, please contact us first to try to resolve it by discussion; failing that, the competent courts of Dhaka shall have jurisdiction.

• If any part of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
• A delay in exercising any right does not waive it.
• These terms, the review guidelines and the privacy policy together form the entire agreement between you and us.
• These terms are provided in Bengali and English; if they differ, the Bengali version prevails.
